As you may have guessed, the courageous woman in the chair to the right is Sherry. This photo was taken at the last Relay for Life that she was well enough to physically participate in (2007). Unfortunately, just a month before the Relay, Sherry was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer.

 

Even before the diagnosis, Sherry was a proud supporter of the Relay For Life. She never dreamed the day would come that she would be participating as a survivor instead of supporter. And didn't expect to miss an event because the cancer wouldn't allow her to attend.

 

We are the daughters and granddaughters. The son-in-laws and grandsons. The friends and supporters of Sherry. And we are proud to continue Sherry's tradition in the race for a cure of cancer.
